Skin aging is a slow, gradual process that starts as early as age 20. It is inevitable because it is caused by the biological changes programmed into our cells. Over time, skin becomes less firm and supple. Production of elastin and collagen, which are the fibers that make up the skin's architectural foundation (the dermis), drops off. The cells take more and more time to renew themselves. The skin becomes thinner, eventually forming wrinkles.

Aging depends not only on our genetic inheritance but also on our skin type (dry, dehydrated, sensitive, or oily). Thin skin tends to wrinkle more easily.

The first wrinkles appear in the forehead and around the eyes and mouth. Here again, however, we are not all created equal. Each face ages differently. The skin on the forehead folds and creases, creating horizontal or vertical wrinkles that become deeper with each expression of surprise or concentration. The eye contour area is a particularly sensitive and vulnerable area since it is more exposed to dehydration, crow's feet, and shadows.

The constant movement of the mouth places the contour of the lips under considerable stress, which eventually marks the skin. This sensitive area must be soothed and moisturized regularly, as often as the eye contour area.

We recommend:

  • Expertise Age Contour Intense Youth Eye Cream
  • Lift Contour Eye and Lip Anti-Aging Emulsion
  • Lift Contour Gentle Makeup Removing Lotion for eyes and lips

External factors also exacerbate the aging process:

  • external climate conditions: too much exposure to the sun, cold, pollution, etc.
  • lifestyle: consumption of alcohol and tobacco, an unbalanced diet, lack of sleep, stress, etc.

Starting at age 30 or 40...

It's time to take action! Small wrinkles seem to want to settle in around the contour of the eyes and lips. The oval of the face is no longer as smooth as it once was. The skin is becoming less robust. The complexion tends to lack glow, particularly for city dwellers feeling the effects of stress, pollution, and a sedentary lifestyle.

You may also see the appearance of small brown spots (excessive sun exposure, use of medication, or haphazard increases in melanin). To diminish their appearance, we recommend applying a whitening facial treatment in the morning or in the evening before going to bed.

Your main objective is to find a cream that stimulates cellular renewal. Choose a facial treatment cream whose active ingredients stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. This will boost your skin's firmness and significantly diminish lines and wrinkles.

We recommend:

OgenAge Initial Emulsion for the first signs of aging - Normal to combination skin or OgenAge Initial Emulsion for the first signs of aging - Dry to very dry skin.
WhitEclat 2 Whitening Day Cream SPF 10 to diminish the appearance of brown spots.

Starting at age 40 or 50...

The skin lacks moisture and lipids. It becomes drier and thinner. It has lost its density and its radiance. More and more brown spots appear. The oval of the face is vaguely defined. Wrinkles deepen. Menopause exacerbates the process of skin aging.

Your main objective is to choose an anti-aging cream that contains targeted active ingredients. You will also appreciate the radiance-boosting effect of OgenAge Smoothing Radiance Serum. It leaves your skin feeling extremely soft, revives your complexion, and diminishes wrinkles.

We recommend:

  • OGENAGE EXPERT JOUR Sublime Youthful Firming Cream
and OGENAGE EXPERT NUIT Precious Renewing Cream

The newest anti-wrinkle active ingredients are more effective, and the new formulas help them to penetrate more quickly. Overall, this makes cosmetics much more effective.

AHAs, often derived from fruit, revive dull complexions. They act as a surface exfoliant on the corneal layer. The drawback is that the high concentration of exfoliating agents can cause irritation.

Retinol, which is pure vitamin A, reduces wrinkles by filling out the epidermis and restoring its tone. It acts on the epidermis. But, like AHAs, its exfoliating effects can irritate the skin.

Created by Phytomer laboratories, the Age-Effect Complex acts on the corneal layer and the epidermis. A gentle exfoliant, it has properties similar to those of retinol and AHAs, but without their irritating qualities.
It accelerates cellular renewal, smoothing, firming, and restoring your skin's youth. It is appropriate for all skin types.

The results of the Age-Effect Complex:

  • anti-aging
  • after 3 months of use, wrinkles are 55% less deep
  • firmness
  • within 24 hours, collagen production increases 168% (in vitro testing)
  • radiance

*cellular renewal takes place in 18.6 days rather than 24.1 days for mature skin
*after 3 months of use, the complexion is 45% brighter

You can find the Age-Effect Complex in OGENAGE Smoothing Age-Defense Radiance Serum. Discuss the benefits of this great product by scheduling a FREE CONSULTATION with a member of our Esthetics staff.
